Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), is an additive manufacturing process that belongs to the material extrusion family. In FDM, an object is built by selectively depositing melted material in a pre-determined path layer-by-layer. The materials used are thermoplastic polymers and come in a filament form.
FDM is the most widely used technology: it represents the largest installed base of 3D printers globally and is often the first technology people are exposed to. In this article, the basic principles and the key aspects of the technology are presented.
A designer should keep in mind the capabilities and limitations of the technology when fabricating a part with FDM, as this will help him achieve the best result.
Our printer is capable to print models up to 200x300x300mm in size. Please send us your .stl files an we will calculate the print price.
Vat polymerization technology involve a photosensitive resin cured by a light source to produce solid layers and, eventually, whole parts. The resin is contained within a vat, or tank, and is cured against a build platform, which slowly rises out of the tank as the part is formed.
Our LCD-based SLA technology print size is up to 192x120x245mm
Usually we finish small orders the same work day as we receive your payment.
